ABOUT 

MB Exploration LLC was formed in 1994 and is wholly owned by Matthew and Shirley Bob. Throughout its history, it has been a first mover in exploration, production, and mineral acquisition. It has an extensive history of successful joint venture partnerships with public and private companies. The projects have resulted in large current production volumes; most notably its former 40,000 acre leasehold in Reeves County, Texas now owned by Occidental Petroleum and Noble Energy.

In the last few years, MB through one of its affiliates, has concentrated on minerals and strategic advisory. MB is a co-founder of One Map Minerals, LLC. This partnership was an early mover in the Permian basin and has acquired extensive mineral holdings.

MB’s advisory offers consultations for financial institutions and energy companies. It has advised financial institutions through in-court and out-of- court restructuring, rationalization of assets and human capital, and independent board advisory. It has executed work for Bank of America, Hall Financial, Aspect Energy, Eagle Oil and Gas Co., Hunt Oil Company, Bass Production Company, and SK Energy.

Mr. Bob is currently an independent director of Callon Petroleum. He previously served as President of Eagle Oil and Gas Co. and as an independent director at Southcross Energy LLC.
